Having no money to do experiments is often a big problem in science and you generally find that the things that which affect people in the western world are quite well funded – research into cancer and heart disease gets lots of money compared to other areas (I’m not saying that these aren’t worth while but they just take up a lot of funding). So instead I would like to set up funding for projects which can help lots of people but don’t get much money such as research into malaria or tropical fruits and vegetables. In fact getting people to explore the rain forests and find new species could really help scientific process as there are a lot of species we still know nothing about .
