If you look on our profiles, you should see descriptions of a typical day. And yes, I think something new is learned every day – usually something small. Quite often simply in conversation with people.

Well I’m a PhD student so technically it’s not my job to be a scientist but you can find out about my work and my typical day on my profile. I definitely learn lots every day especially because I’m still a student. Sometimes I learn new facts like how bright a galaxy is or how far away it is. Sometimes I learn how to do something new like how to make pictures of galaxies using data from telescopes. Other days I will learn something completely random!

I’m a PhD student who works with plants, like the others have said check out our profiles to see what we get up to. I definitely seem to learn something new every day but I think most people in the world do, even if it is just something small like today’s lunch special was haddock – random but true. In terms of science then I’m forever picking up new pieces of information and techniques, it is a continual learning experience.
