Funnily enough I’ve always stuck in education figuring that it was best to get all the learning out of the way at once. After finishing school I went to college (my school didn’t have a sixth form) and from there off to uni (Cardiff) to do a degree and after that swapped uni’s and ended up at Reading to do a PhD.It looks like I’m becoming one of those perpetual students. As part of my degree I did work for a year in industry at the institute of medical genetics trying to find mutations in patient’s genes, so it was all exciting stuff.
