• Question: hey Jen I was just wondering about your trip to the LHC in Geneva... Were you involved in any ongoing experiments??? Also... what do you think about the discovery of the Higgs particle trail?? :)

      Hey! Well when I went to the LHC it was more like a holiday than doing science! I was in my second year of my degree and one of our lecturers organised a trip for us. We got to go on a tour of the place and went down to see the ATLAS experiment. This was in 2006 so before the LHC was turned on so we got to go around in places that you’re not allowed anymore! I think I’ve got photos somewhere so I’ll try to put them on my website and then give you think link so you can have a look.

      I haven’t really been following the news from CERN recently so I haven’t heard about that. What did they see?
