      I filed a patent for a way of translating wireless signal strength into a measurement of distance. This allows the government to monitor your movements, or you to automatically switch things on and off while you wander round the house.

      So, yes!

      Unfortunately not. In my research, if I invented something, it would be a new theory involving the physics in active galaxies, not anything physical that you could see!
